Fifi's Story...
Fifi is a female Maltese/Terrier mix approximately 2 ½ - 3 yrs of age. She has a predominately white coat with light tan ears. She is a sturdy little dog and weighs 12 lbs making her a nice size as a family dog. Fifi is a devoted companion dog and is happy as long as she is near her foster family. She responds easily to voice commands and will come running when called. Fifi is fine with other small dogs, but does not appear to need another dog in the home to feel secure. She entered a large shelter as a stray so she is learning to relax now that she is staying in a foster home. Fifi would like a calm, secure, and stable household with a person having time to enjoy her companionship. She thoroughly enjoys giving and receiving affection. Fifi wants to please and is treat oriented which makes training easier. She seems to be house trained and enjoys going outside every couple of hours. She is going to make a loyal, affectionate pet and companion. Fifi is ready for her new forever home today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fifi, a San Diego Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
