Kayla is looking for a best friend . . . or a family of them! She was picked up as a stray and brought to a low-kill shelter we call "the Group Home" where she befriended all the volunteers and all of her fellow dog sheltermates. In fact, she earned the "best dog" award from the shelter director within days of her arrival! She's smart, friendly, pleasant and social with all the other dogs. She has a lower energy level that makes her so pleasant to be around -- she's happy to play if you'd like, and she's happy to chill if it's not the right time. And she loves to explore -- when she gets her off-leash walks she loves to smell everything with the nicest curiosity, but she's always happy to come back when called because of her loyal attachment to her people. Kayla takes the concept of "man's best friend" very seriously: it's someone's approval, affection and attention that is the whole key to her happiness. We think Kayla is about 2 years old, she weighs just about 50 pounds we call her a Mini-Lab!
