Casanova's Story...
What are you waiting for--purrfection? Where is your application?

Casanova is a playful little fellow who loves to be cuddled after playtime. He came to us with 14 other tiny jewels from a shelter in West Virginia overwhelmed by the number of kittens coming in each day--many of whom, devastatingly, had to be euthanized. Fortunately, we were able to help our friends and Casanova. A lucky family will have him in their home soon--could you be the ones?

To see Casanova or any of our adorable, affectionate kittens, submit an online cat adoption application at http://hsfc.org/adoptions/applications/online/ or call 703-385-7387 for more information. Kittens six months old or younger are best adopted in pairs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casanova, a Fairfax Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
