Facts about RENA

  • Breed: English Setter Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Rena is about 3 yrs old and weighs 28kg (about 62lbs). She gets along with other male dogs better than females (but we recommend close monitoring when there's food around and multiple dogs),

She's a very pleasant dog but will be the dominant one in a pack. She loves people and being around them, wanting to be pampered by them. She seems comfortable in the home and is very good on leash. On last health check she was healthy. In general, the Setter breed is a nice family dog but definitely not suitable for inactive people as they do need their exercise. The ideal home for Rena would be an experienced adults-only home with a secure fenced yard and no other pets (but we could consider a home with a non-dominant male dog (as she's needing to be the top dog in the pack) and so long as her behavior involving food is monitored closely she will be a good companion. About Tails from Greece Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small Canadian-registered charity who rehomes dogs who've come from Greece, providing them with vet care and other needs on arrival; for example, wheelchair cart, full blood work, hip replacement surgery, spay/neuter surgery etc. We are always in need of donations (which are tax receiptable if from within Canada) as we spend anywhere between $25,--- - $35,000 on vet care annually. It's a very rewarding effort, having rehomed over 330 dogs and a few cats.
