RENA's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

RENA's Story...
Rena is about 3 yrs old and weighs 28kg (about 62lbs). She gets along with other male dogs better than females (but we recommend close monitoring when there's food around and multiple dogs),

She's a very pleasant dog but will be the dominant one in a pack. She loves people and being around them, wanting to be pampered by them. She seems comfortable in the home and is very good on leash. On last health check she was healthy. In general, the Setter breed is a nice family dog but definitely not suitable for inactive people as they do need their exercise. The ideal home for Rena would be an experienced adults-only home with a secure fenced yard and no other pets (but we could consider a home with a non-dominant male dog (as she's needing to be the top dog in the pack) and so long as her behavior involving food is monitored closely she will be a good companion. Why Adoption is a Great Option

RENA, a Toronto English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter for sale in Toronto, or seeking a English Setter dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter breeders who help with English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
