My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Super Sweet, Loving Chihuahua Mix

Buddy is approximately 3 1/2, he is crate trained and he LOVES LOVES LOVES other dogs. This sugar sweet natured boy also loves cats.He loves walks, sunbathing and hanging with fur friends. 

Buddy is currently in a foster home as he undergoes slow kill heartworm treatment. He lives with other dogs and is enjoying home life while he waits for his forever family!

 

A little history about Buddy: 

This precious little boy was dumped at a kill shelter.  He was then placed in a pen with big dogs who attacked him and severely broke his leg.  Without medical care on his leg, he was sent home with a foster and pain meds.  After THREE MONTHS he was returned to the shelter and placed on the kill list. That's when we found out about him and pulled him to safety.

Buddy ended up having to have 3 surgeries to fix his leg. The final surgery was amputation. This was the best answer to resolve his pain and discomfort.  However, nothing has broken his beautiful spirit and sweet personality.
