Cotton Candy (Pregnant)'s Story...
"Cotton Candy" is an adorable 2-year old female kitty who arrived at the HSOV on July 12, 2016 along with her 2-month old kitten (Daisy) after they were found in Newport Ohio. Although her kitten Daisy is still a baby, "Cotton Candy" (sigh) is expecting another litter of kittens most any day now. This sweet young mother has a delightful personality and is extremely affectionate. She and her kitten (Daisy) are very bonded with each other, and it breaks out heart to think that they will likely be separated when the new kittens are born :( "Cotton Candy" has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long tall, and a beautiful face with pale golden eyes. She weighs 8.8 lbs. "Cotton Candy" was given wormer on July 12 2016. "Cotton Candy" desperately needs a foster home or a rescue group where she can give birth to her babies in a quiet home environment. And we hope that someone will find it in their heart to also take Kitten Daisy as well. Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cotton Candy (Pregnant), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
