Looking for a lap dog, but prefer big guys? Meet Oliver! This handsome boy is the perfect mix of young energy and sweetness. He loves to play and explore on leash, but when he's worn out, his favorite thing is cuddling up as close as possible, ideally right on top of you.
Oliver's life has not been an easy one. A rescue in another shelter, he was injured in a fight with another dog. He came to us with pretty severe injuries and spent his first couple months with us healing. He's all better now, though, and ready for a home all his own.
Oliver has been making great strides in his training. He has recently started going on field trips outside of the shelter with volunteers and is really enjoying exploring new sights and sounds. He walks well on leash and knows the sit command and is working on other commands. He'll happily show you how affectionate he can be with his wagging tail and big goofy grin.
If you're looking for an energetic canine playmate, but could also use a pup to snuggle up to at night, come meet Oliver today!
All APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team. And remember, when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
