Hi, My name is Millie!

Are you looking for the most gorgeous cat in the Pittsburgh area? I am a long haired tortie cat, part Maine Coon. I am just 3 years old and very healthy. I have been spayed, am up to date on my shots. I will be rehomed with all my stuff, including litter box, litter, Feliway and diffusers, treats, food, scratchpad, toys, a brush and bowls. I live in Pittsburgh, PA.

I am probably one of the most beautiful cats around. I have an incredible Maine Coon tail, gorgeous Tortoiseshell markings and light green eyes, that my owner thinks are like those of an owl.

I have an very sweet, loving personality, and enjoy cuddling up with my owner. I am OK being picked up and am very gentle with my claws.

Here is what my owner loves the most about me:

1) I love how gentle she is with her claws, even if I rub her belly or pick her up.
2) I love how she looks at me with her big “owl eyes.”
3) I love how sweet she can be. How she will sleep on the bed near me. Once when I got home from a trip, I woke up with Millie curled up next to me.
4) She is very beautiful and knows it, loving to show it off, especially her fancy tail.
5) I love how she is great at keeping company. She likes to be in the same room as her people, even if she’s not being affectionate.

I’m being rehomed by my foster mom. She is sad to have to look for a loving home for me, but with 5 cat already in her home, it is just not a good environment for me. I am one of those kitties that prefers to have my humans all to myself. Other cats make me feel nervous and territorial. This has resulted in some accidents outside the litter box. I just don’t feel safe doing my business, and feel the need to leave my smell so that other cats know I belong here. This will not be an issue once I feel safe and sound in a home where other cats will not be around.

I would prefer a quiet, no other pets home, with a single or couple who will make me feel special and cherished. I am looking for a home with people who have lots of time to spend with me. I am very sociable and human-oriented. I do need a predictable environment to feel safe and happy.

I am about the most loving lap warmer you will find. Please offer me the loving home I deserve today. I can’t wait to purr my way into your heart.

If you would like to meet me, please fill out our Online Information Form. Once received, my foster Mom will contact you to arrange a good time for you to meet me.

There is a $40 adoption/rehoming fee. All supplies will be included.

About Pittsburgh Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters and rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
