Beckley's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Beckley's Story...
Beckley" is a 2 year old, spayed female Shepherd. She is alert but not aggressive, she's intelligent and curious and wants to be at her master's side, paying attention to and following commands such as "sit" and "lay down." She is motivated by treats and food, will walk on a leash, and is not afraid of loud noises such as thunderstorms: even, when reassured, settles down for very loud fireworks. Very observant, her temperament follows her leader's wishes (ex: calms down on command) even though she is energetic.

She talks to her master, and is regarded as "sweet" by the adults who have fostered her. She's O.K. with other dogs, been meeting multiple breeds, but does not like cats. She is 65 pounds, 2 feet high at the shoulders, and currently on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beckley, a Jacksonville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
