My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trooper is a handsome, gentle and loving, ten to 14-year-old, 10-pound, male patch orange tabby cat with the softest fur looking for a loving guardian.

Trooper showed up Memorial Day weekend at a feral feeding station in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. The poor guy was emaciated and since he wasn’t at all feral, we assume he got lost from his home or got tossed out.

He is just the sweetest boy and loves to be adored and pet! He rubs against everyone lovingly and rolls all over his toys and is still quite playful. He doesn’t have a shy bone in his body and he’s great with other cats. Trooper uses his litter box like a good boy and is so gentle with his claws that his rescuer thought he was de-clawed at first.

Trooper is a healthy senior, de-wormed, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and had a recent dental. His adoption fee of $125 benefits the rescued cats of Chicago’s Feline Friends rescue group.
