Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beetle is a very loveable, sweet boy. He was born around the end of February and will most likely be a large boy when full grown. He is a shepherd cross that came into rescue after being hit by a car. His right femur was broken and his back left leg had some road rash. He underwent surgery to repair his femur with a plate and some screws and another surgery to fix up the skin on his left leg. He bounced back very quickly and was immediately a happy, energetic puppy. You would never have known that he was injured. He has completed a series of rehab and was a total superstar during his physio.
Beetle still needs to be walked on leash for a little while longer before he will be allowed to have total freedom to run around. He knows basic commands and is working on walking politely on leash. He LOVES his walks! He is also crate trained and house trained.
Beetle is great with other dogs and loves to wrestle and play with his foster siblings and his doggie friends. He is good with cats, though hasn't had a lot of interaction with them. Beetle also adores children! Especially if they will play tug with him or throw a toy (we're working on the bringing it back part).
Beetle is all healed up and ready to move to a new home. If you think that Beetle sounds like a good dog for your family, please apply to meet him at www.newhoperescue.org
