Skippy is a 6 year old, extremely smart, Border Collie who was surrendered due to her owner being moved into a senior care home and he was unable to take her with him. Even though she lived her whole life with this man, she has transitioned extremely well into her foster home and is a very happy, playful dog. She is very easy going, loves to cuddle, is trustworthy in the house alone, quiet for the most part, but if you don’t give her a proper hello when you come home she will remind you with some happy howls and barks. Skippy is a wonderful dog to have around but she is not perfect. She was not well socialized with dogs and as a result shows aggressive behaviours to other dogs. She loves to go for walks and is slowly improving on situations where we encounter dogs on the street. Skippy also is quite possessive over her food and toys, over the time she has been in foster care this has improved with her growing more comfortable and bonding with her foster home. Skippy loves everyone she meets and is good with cats. She is suited for a home where she is an only dog and that has no young children.

About Bright Eyes Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a registered charitable organization, located in Regina, SK, Canada dedicated to helping dogs that have fallen on hard times (homeless, abandoned and in some cases, surrendered). With the help of dedicated volunteer foster families, our dogs live as part of the family while they are in foster care right up until they move in with their new family. We strive to help with the over-population of pets by making sure each and every puppy*, adolescent and adult dog is spayed/neutered. (*Note: sterilization of puppies is the owner's responsibility and proof of sterilization must be shown at 6 months of age.)

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption application process , which includes a home visit, help us to ensure we find wonderful, permanent loving and caring families for each one of our dogs. We feel that honesty is the best policy when it comes to finding homes for our dogs; we want to avoid any unfortunate surprises after you bring your new friend home. After all, we are looking for a BEDR life for our dogs! There is an online adoption application that must be filled completed before a home visit will be set up. The application can be found on our website,
