Facts about Rango

  • Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 31602731
Rango is a talker (and not the bark all night kind) but when he sees you or food or a leash he will make all kinds of noises for you! It's adorable! He loves to go for walks, they are probably his favorite thing. Rango is down to go anywhere with you. He does want to be the only baby in the household so he would prefer a home with only kids over age 13. He does seem to get along with most dogs but we always suggest a meet and greet at the shelter if you currently have dogs. Rango is about 3 years old, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all of his vaccines.

About TLC Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

Established in 1977, TLC is one of the oldest no-kill shelters in North Georgia. Our shelter is on about six acres near the Lumpkin County shelter, and about five miles east of Dahlonega. Our focus is saving as many homeless pets as we can, and preventing the birth of unwanted pets. We have always relied on private donations to care for as many animals as we can.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do adoptions on the square in Dahlonega most weekends, attend various local events, have annual fundraisers, and our animals can be seen at the shelter any day from 10:00 - 4:30 (an hour for lunch from 12:00-1:00). Come by and see the new changes at the shelter as well, ask to volunteer, or just introduce yourself and meet the wonderful staff members.

Our Adoption Process...

All of our animals are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped before adoption. The adoption requirements and fees vary with the animal.
