Loving, sweet mini mutt. Layla is dog friendly and a champion at playing fetch. Layla is learning her basic commands. She knows sit and drop it. Layla is improving on leash, she is a very nervous girl, We are not sure of her past, but her teeth have been ground down, and she enjoys chewing on kongs, nylabones, or tennis balls. She can keep herself entertained with a basketball. Layla has been known to chew hoses, but if she has her own toys she is not destructive. Layla does have separation anxiety, a companion dog may help if she is alone or someone who is home most of the time. Layla is very loving and very smart. Layla does like the water. Layla would benefit from obedience training with her new family. No small dogs or cats, Layla does have prey drive. 2 years old

About Our Shelter...

Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center is a no-kill animal shelter dedicated to rehabilitating and rehoming the abandoned pets of Santa Paula, California. We aim to do this through educating the community and partnering with other rescue groups. We are the first and only no-kill animal shelter in Ventura County.

The Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center is located at 705 E. Santa Barbara Street in Santa Paula, California. We are open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sundays, from 11am to 6pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an application, an interview to match potential adopters with the right pet, and an adoption fee. For dogs, the fee is $110.00 and includes the spay/neuter, the microchip and its registration, up-to-date vaccinations, and the license if you reside in Santa Paula. For cats, the fee is $80.00 and includes the spay/neuter, the microchip and its registration, and up-to-date vaccinations.
