Hi, my name is Allie!! I am loving and affectionate, reserved yet playful. I am a little sensitive to stress, so know that while I will be a wonderful companion and family member, I will need a little bit of patience and understanding while I adjust to a new environment. For some cats, unpredictability and novelty can cause us to be unsure and cautious. You can help build my confidence though! You'll be given some tips on how to help me adjust and become confident in my new environment! I promise I am fabulous girl, I just need a little help! With some time, I will blossom like a flower! I would do best in an adult only home or a home with older children.

About SPCA Florida

About Our Shelter...

Headquartered in Lakeland since 1979, SPCA Florida creates happy endings for orphaned animals in need, educates the public regarding responsible pet ownership and helps to control pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs. The adoption center cares for more than 6,000 animals annually and SPCA Florida’s McClurg Animal Medical Center provides affordable, quality care for more than 4,500 clients each month. SPCA Florida bridges the gap between animals and people through various community outreach programs made possible by compassionate volunteers and donors.

Come Meet Our Pets...

You can visit our adoption center in Lakeland at 5850 Brannen Road South. We are open Monday through Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Our Adoption Process...

We hope you meet your four-legged love at SPCA Florida! Our goal is to help you find a companion that best suits your household. We have wonderful animals available and a great deal of information to share with you.

Adoption Process
When you arrive at the Adoption Center we invite you to take a look around and meet the animals. We encourage you and your family to spend time with each pet you are interested in to see which is the best fit. Our trained staff and volunteers are happy to answer questions about the animals and provide you with whatever background information we have regarding that pet. Please keep in mind we do not always know all of the adoptable animals’ history or background depending on how they arrived at SPCA Florida.

If you currently have a dog at home we recommend you bring him or her in to interact with your potential new dog.

When you find a pet you would like to adopt the next step is to fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed with you by one of our trained counselors. The counselors will answer any questions you may have. If the pet is already sterilized he or she can go home the same day, otherwise the surgery is normally scheduled the next day and the pet can go home the day of surgery.
