Cleo lost her longtime home when her guardian’s mother became very ill and needed a lot of care on top of the guardian’s busy work schedule; she had no time for Cleo.
Cleo is a very sweet girl who thrives in a quiet environment where she can strongly bond with her chosen person. She has a quirky sense of humor that expresses itself when she’s relaxed—when you’re sitting in a chair, Cleo will sit on the back and put her paw on your shoulder to ask for attention; she’s not a direct lap cat yet appreciates contact and comforting and given her choice will almost always be in your company. She’s very "helpful" when you are working on your computer; make sure you use those typing pauses to give her some pets, okay?
Cleo needs a peaceful home with no other cats or children. We don’t know how she currently feels about dogs, though as a kitten she was around a respective dog.
Cleo thought she had it made and then lost that home through no fault of her own; she will need some time and patience as she adjusts to the harsh changes in her life, yet Cleo craves—no, she NEEDS—that special bond between a kitty and her human. If you can give Cleo the time she needs to trust that with you it’s going to last, you will have a sweet and devoted kitty for life.
The Rescue House is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to assisting cats through its rescue, foster and adoption activities. We find loving homes for unwanted, abandoned, homeless and abused cats. We open our arms to cats that need assistance, regardless of age and often regardless of handicap. We find good homes for every cat that we take in - we are a true no-kill cat rescue organization.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We at The Rescue House believe that we can contribute to the welfare of our furry friends by implementing an Adoption Program. Our Adoption Process...
All prospective adopters must complete an application and be interviewed as part of the adoption process.

Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
