Facts about Roxy

Brown tabby, short hair, female, born approx. 5/1/10, #8712

Roxy originally came to The Rescue House as a teenager when a concerned family found her wandering and hungry. Years later when another concerned person found her in an alley with bite wounds and an injured paw and asked if we could help, it was discovered that she was a Rescue House cat come back to us. Roxy went into foster care to recuperate back to full health and is now ready to find a home and family that will truly stick by her for the rest of her life.

You would never know that Roxy is six years old because she still has the spunk and playfulness of a teenager! She loves to play and is especially fascinated by little wiggly toys yet will happily romp around with just about anything—her big round eyes will open wide and her mouth will open a little with adorable eagerness. A sunny window perch is Roxy’s preferred cozy spot with built-in lounger and entertainment from the passing bugs and birds. Of course, she’s also quite the cuddler with you, and she’d love a good brushing if you’d like to indulge her. Roxy seems to have a good sense of combining bids for affection with independence.

Roxy has warmed up to all the people she’s met and would likely blend well into most environments, though a household with very young children may not be to her preference. She is thus far not fond of other cats though after slow introductions could possibly tolerate one who minded its own business. She has a strong aversion to dogs.

Roxy is a fun and cuddly kitty who would love to not have to focus on survival and just be able to relax into a welcoming home with people who will care for her and be her loving companions. She’ll be thrilled to live out her days showing you how devoted she can be. Is that a deal?
