Trooper was originally found with an injured leg that needed amputation. He was adopted into a home and was very loved until his young guardian needed to move into a situation where she could not take Troooper. He has come back to us to find a new home.

Trooper is a full-of-energy rascal who certainly doesn’t realize that he has any sort of handicap. He runs, jumps, and chases just as hard as any kitty with all four legs and often doesn’t know when to stop... he loves anything that dangles, rolls, bounces, or twitches, and will play and play and play until he collapses (for a while). In Trooper’s world, EVERYTHING is a toy. That can include people, so he does need some guidance that fingers and toes are not suitable things to pounce on and jumping out to grab an ankle shouldn’t be a game. Trooper is a good-hearted boy who will chirp happily at you and who adores your company; he just needs a consistent and dedicated human parent to regularly wear him out and keep his energized mischief focused toward appropriate outlets. Trooper really enjoys having his head, ears, and back scratched, especially the side he can’t reach as well. He isn’t big on being picked up, though, if you’re sitting and ask him to come, you can pick him up and put him on your lap. Trooper is such a darling, and if you put your face near his and say "give me a kiss," he will!

Trooper loves his human family once he figures out you love him. He’s insecure with other adult cats, though does quite well with kittens and is also happy as an only cat so long as he gets your love. He would not be the best fit for very young children, though slightly older is great. He is very scared of dogs.

Will you take this wonderful Trooper kitty home, help him find his feet and guide his play, and gain a fabulous companion who will bestow many kisses upon you and entertain you for life?
