This sweet and friendly boy can be a little shy until he settled in, but he is always very happy to roll over and bare his tummy for belly rubs. And his shyness wears off very quickly! He looks for attention and wants to interact with his people. Playful he is! Loves to bat around at his little mice and attack their tails. He is happy when you engage in playtime with him. He is a "rough" player, he can get a little overstimulated and rambunctious but if you are aware you can cut him off before he gets extremely rough. Khan has had limited exposure to other animals and does not seem to heed the "stay away" warnings of other felines. He also has showed signs of not liking canines. Due to this and his rough play, being an only pet may be the best option to keep the peace. He has not been around children in his foster home but he does seem interested in kids at the adoption center. Any family with children do need to understand his rough play and ensure it is a safe interaction with children. Shere Khan, with his super soft fur, is a lovely boy and ready for his furever family to find him and provide him a loving home.
We have created a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to eliminating cruelty, abuse and the overpopulation of animals. The Humane Society is committed to creating the awareness of animal rights throughout the Romeoville community by providing numerous animal welfare programs, including pet adoptions, humane education and cruelty investigations. ALL animals available for adoption are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested, fiv/felv tested (cats only), heartworm tested (dogs only) and microchipped. It is the policy of the Romeoville Humane Society to spay or neuter all animals in its care in an effort to reduce the homeless pet population.
