My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Sallie and I am a darling little 9 year old (DOB 6/15/07) red & white, spay female japanese chin. I was rescued by National Mill Dog Rescue on 7/5/15 from a lifetime of producing puppies in a mill. I was adopted by a family, however after several months they returned me due to house training. I had never been inside a home in my life and struggled. I came to CJCR on 5/20/16 in hopes of learning all about living inside a home and working on housetraining. I have been doing pretty good and am starting to learn about going potty outside. I do have a heart murmur and take inexpensive medication once a day. I am still pretty shy but do like to be held and snuggled. I am not very good on the leash and freeze up so will need work on this, however I am pretty small at just 7.2 pounds so picking me up is nothing. I am looking for a calm home with patience and alot of love. I certainly deserve it after all I have been through.
