Diamond's Story...
Hi There...Diamond's my name and I was transferred from Animal Control because they were out of space. And that means that no one here knows anything about my back ground. But they do know that I'm an active girl who loves attention. I recently participated in a VHS Canines for Cardio event and walked with lots of other dogs and their Walkers from the VHS around Garvin Park and back. My Walker indicated that I would sit when asked, didn't chase the other dogs, was not fearful and was very sweet. He/she also said that I was sometimes easy to walk.I was just happy and excited to be out there with everyone going to the park so I probably pulled on the leash sometimes. But we can work on that. I'll do best with regular exercise and interactive play time WITH my person and quieter time just sharing our home. And please don't just leave me outside because it's lonely and boring out there without you and a I might end up at Animal Control again. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, up to date immunizations, nationally recognized microchip and more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diamond, a Evansville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
