Hello, I'm Brinkley and I am looking for my angel adopter. I'm in need of a home in which to adapt and have some time for peace and quiet. Back in August of 2015, I was found in an abandoned apartment, with no explanation of my past. I tend to go into a frenzy when I am touched (the staff that works with me calls it "body sensitivity"!) or if there is sudden movement right next to me. This is something that vets and specialists are exploring about me. Though I am very cute and tempting to pet, I cannot be approached in the way that most dogs are. If you are looking for a cuddly small dog to pet and love on, please check out some of my other canine friends at Pawmetto. The staff members here at Pawmetto Lifeline very respectful of my boundaries as they learn more about my health. Going to a home where I will have as little interruption with my progress as possible is definitely ideal. I just hope I go home an adopter soon so that I can finally be in the loving home of a pet parent.

To meet with me, please fill out an online adoption application at pawmettolifeline.org/adopt/adopt_a_dog. Once you're approved, an Adoption Advocate will be in touch with you to set up an appointment to visit. It will take multiple visits with me for a decision to be made regarding my placement. Thank you, folks!

Love,
Brinkley

About Our Rescue Group...

Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization solving pet overpopulation in the Midlands. There are over 20,000 homeless pets in the Midlands and over 17,000 are euthanized each year. Our plan uniquely positions us to correct this problem through four distinct initiatives: Adoption, Medical, Rescue Collaboration, and Education efforts.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pawmetto Lifeline is open for adoptions Monday-Friday from 12 noon-7 pm, Saturday from 10 am-7 pm and Sunday from 12 noon-5 pm. Some cats are also available for adoption daily at all Petsmart locations in the Columbia area. (Currently there are Petsmart locations in Harbison, Lexington and the Northeast on Two Notch Road.)

Our Adoption Process...

All prospective adopters are required to complete an application and go through a short interview process. Once approved the adoption fees are paid and the adopter is able to bring the pet home the same day.

Adoption fees for cats and kittens are $100 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs and puppies start at $150 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.
