Peppermint was adopted out when she was an 11-week-old puppy & renamed Rosie. She was recently returned to EHR by her owner who said that Rosie and her fur sibling were not getting along anymore & it was too hard to keep the dogs separated with kids in the house. Poor Rosie lost her family, her home & her freedom!
Although Rosie has lived with children, their fast movements can scare her so we think she’d do best in a home where the children were older. She loves to chew on her bones & play with her toys. And she loves her crate & her bed! She also loves to snuggle in any blankets or towels that are left out! Rosie is warm and affectionate with all people and is loved in her foster home.
Rosie loves to run in the yard and chase squirrels and would do best with a fenced in yard or an active household to help her get exercise! Rosie does walk very nicely on the leash and rides well in the car. She is fine when passing dogs on walks but is sometimes cautious with more dominant dogs. She can be a little wary of strangers, too – she needs a little time to warm up to new people. She is very trainable & her foster dad says that she does well with consistency as I he feels that she didn't have much of that in her previous home.
Rosie is up to date on all her shots and is spayed and microchipped. If you would like to meet Rosie please fill out an app and mention her name – Rosie (Peppermint SCAS)!!
