Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Albert is a big, lovable guy, with an even bigger personality. He's very friendly and likes to be pet and played with. He is very patient with younger humans, as long as they know how to be gentle. He will retreat to his hut when surprised, but he's quick to get comfortable with human contact. Albert loves his veggies and will let you know how delighted he is by squealing and grunting. He will need a committed adopter who can help him get down to a healthy weight.
RCHS guinea pigs live in loving foster homes where they are socialized, given sufficient exercise outside of their cage, and fed a diet of grass hay, Timothy pellets, and fresh vegetables daily to maintain a healthy weight. Guinea pigs do require a vet trained in exotic animal medicine and have special housing and dietary needs. We encourage you to please research guinea pigs thoroughly before adopting.
