Tess's Story...
Tess came to us from a remote area where she was found in a forest by a nursing mother cat and raised as her own kitten with the rest of the litter. When she first arrived she was covered in ringworm - so much so we did not even know what her fur actually looked like. After enduring three months of lyme-sulfur dipping she is free and clear. Her fur grew back and she is a beautiful long-haired tortoiseshell. Tess is very loving and not far from the side of her people companions. she purrs constantly and gives little kisses. She loves to be held and carried. she can be very playful at times, but mostly she likes to hang out with humans. Tess has been spayed, is up to date on her shots, tested negative for FeLV and FIV and is microchipped. WE REQUIRE TESS TO BE AN INDOOR ONLY KITTY. An application, safety homecheck, landlord approval if renting, and adoption fee of$80 is required. Discount to seniors, military/veterans, and proof of disability. Contact or 707-441-9502 if interested in Tess.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tess, a Eureka Calico kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Eureka, or seeking a Calico kitten from a breeder in Eureka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Eureka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Eureka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Eureka paves the way for another one to be saved.
