Amelia's Story...
Please note! Puppies will NOT be adopted out of state. CT only. Thanks!

Weighing in at just about 20 pounds and 14 weeks old, now entering the TDR adoptable ring... AMELIA!!! This gorgeous (okay gorgeous may actually be an understatement) girl is ready for a forever home of her own!

Amelia is super smart, picked up on some commands and her name quickly and loves to wrestle and cuddle with her foster fursiblings. She's fantastic with kids and has loved every person she's met. To put it simply, she's a gem! Your guess is as good as ours as far as her breed (pit/husky/boxer/catahoula are some guesses we've heard), but we know for sure she's 50% cute and 50% adorable!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amelia, a Newtown Pit Bull Terrier/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Husky for sale in Newtown, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Husky puppy from a breeder in Newtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Husky breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
