Roo's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Roo's Story...
Roo, is a 2 - 3 year old chestnut and white pittie mix, weighing about 48lbs. He does well interacting with other dogs, cats, people, and is not protective of food.

Roo started out shy and scared when he arrived as a stray from Crownsville, but he soon warmed up and starting showing his pleasant, easygoing personality as he got to know the volunteers and the shelter routine.

Roo is easy to walk, and walks calmly- you walk, he walks; you stop, he stops. Like most dogs, he loves to sniff around...nose in the ground. Roo would be a great hiking buddy, as he enjoys walks through the woods, and going into water when we take him down to a stream.

If you would like to meet Roo, or learn more about him, please email Russell Ashton at: arashton@aaha-rescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roo, a Baltimore American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
