We welcome specific questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.
If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Male, neutered, about 4 months old (as of 9/22/16), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently at the Wheaton PetSmart (63 Rice Lake Square Wheaton, IL 60187, 630-462-7345), adoption fee $125.
Waffles is one of our breakfast food kittens. He and his brother Pancake are looking for forever homes! Their mama Maggie May came to ARF from a shelter in Iowa and gave birth only days after getting into foster care. Maggie took great care of her babies and now they are ready for adoption. Waffles is an orange tabby with white socks on all 4 legs. He is very playful and would love to have another kitty to play with. He is currently being fostered with his littermate Pancake as well as Sylvester and Elmer Fudd from our Looney Toons litter.
If you are interested in Waffles, you can meet him at Petsmart, 63 Rice Lake Square Wheaton, IL 60187, (630) 462-7345 during store hours http://stores.petsmart.com/Store/Details/1376
You can fill out an online adoption application at http://www.arf-il.org/application.html Filling out the application does not obligate you in any way. A completed application is required if you decide to adopt a cat.
If you’re invited to meet an animal, plan to arrive on time or early,
as we cannot hold animals.
All household members must be present at time of adoption, including dogs.
We appreciate your cooperation.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
