Taz here! I was originally brought to WHS/WARL years ago as a tiny, unweaned kitten. I had been living in the wall of a vacant apartment for FIVE days without food or water before some people found me. That was really scary! Since then, I was adopted by a really nice family that had me for close to 5 years, but they had to bring me back after their family circumstances changed and they couldn't care for me any longer. As a 5 year old cat, I'm used to living in a home and using a litter box, so unlike a kitten, I'm pretty comfortable moving right into a home and adjusting fairly quickly. Overall, I like getting attention and being petted, but please go slow with me! This shelter is a little overwhelming and I can be shy sometimes if it gets too crowded and crazy around here. Think you may be interested in adopting an adult cat? Come down and visit me and some of my other adoptable feline friends at our Oglethorpe location!

As a Hidden Gem, I get my very own volunteers who spend extra time with me and work with me on basic training needs. That way, I’ll be extra ready to settle into my new home! And, because I’ve been here a little bit longer than my friends, staff have had the opportunity to get to know me really well, and they will gladly answer any questions you may have about me.

As an extra "thank you" for considering taking me home, my adoption fee has been waived*!
