Sunny's Story...
'Sunny' is a young, beautiful coonhound girl, only 18 mths old, about 45lbs and full of play. She loves other dogs, and is fine with cats. She was in a foster home so is mostly housebroken, and at least knows the basics of going to the door. She is fun of energy and really needs another dog/dogs to play with to keep her occupied. She's great with children and would love the company. She's fully vetted, and ready for her new home and family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a Charlottesville Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Charlottesville, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Charlottesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlottesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlottesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlottesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
