Her Foster Writes:
Candle is a very loving dog who loves belly rubs and not annoyed with kisses on the cheek or a loose hug. Candle loves to please her people, already knowing commands like: come, sit, stay, walk, slow, eat, water, leave it/keep walking/ this way (to walk in a different direction). How SMART is this girl? She is very disciplined and doesn''t get on the bed or couch. She doesn''t beg when her people are eating, but waits patiently until everyone is done to rejoin in the family fun. Candle also learned to wait until I finished placing her food in the bowl and walk away before she eats! Candle is very attached to people and follows us around in the house. Candle is also very easy to handle when giving her a bath in the bath tub. She allows us to wipe clean her paws or harness for walks.

Candle currently lives with kids (age 5 and 8) and gets along with them very well. Candle is very calm at home but enjoys the outdoors and car rides very much. Candle loves to be around dogs once she gets to know them, but we found it''s best when she has a slow introduction. Candle can sometimes bark when she sees a dog from a distance, but it''s only because she''s so darn interested in playing! ACC can help give you tips on how to continue working with the behavior. Even though she enjoys the company of most dogs, we believe Candle should have a meet and greet before going home with another furry brother or sister.

Smart, obedient, and housetrained - what more can an adopter ask for??
