Betty Boop's Story...
Betty Boop. 1 yr old female Border Collie mix. Contact

Approx weight 45 lbs
Approx age: 1 yr

Betty Boop is a Border Collie mix looking for a “Forever Home”. She is an affectionate girl with lots of personality. She likes to be outside, walks well on a leash, and is generally a happy dog. If you want a lap dog and “cuddler” she more than fits the bill!! Betty Boop is house/crate trained and does well with kids and other dogs. While we can’t speak specifically to cats, she doesn’t chase them (or bark at them) when she encounters them on her walks. Her ideal home would allow for daily walks, lots of belly rubs and a yard where she can explore the outdoors

This is the person fostering the dog and they will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please don't just show up at Adoption Day expecting every dog to be there. We are limited by the number of volunteers who can help at each Adoption Day.
Also, in sending your note to the Contact Person, be sure to include information about yourself, family, home, yard, fence, other pets, work situation, and pet accommodations. This information will help us make the best match between you and one of our dogs***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty Boop, a Kingwood Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Kingwood, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Kingwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kingwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kingwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kingwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
