Chester is a very big boy! He is an very sweet and most gentle giant, like a 'sugary' teddy bear! He is unbelievably mellow and soooo 'laid back'. Chester is very sociable, friendly and super relaxed. He loves to receive attention and to be petted. He will lie back to enjoy your caresses and be your 'love prisoner' for as long as you pet him. Chester is quiet and not too active, probably because he is kind of large and not a 'kid' any longer. However, he likes to follow you in case you may stop to pet him. He is a 'dog-like, people cat' and will meow when you come close to him, to let you know he is sooo happy you notice him and waiting to be caressed! Chester gets along with everyone, including other cats. Nothing bothers or flusters this cat who is incredibly calm and even-natured. He would be wonderful with children or with a mature older person or couple. He would be a wonderful companion & addition for any home. This fantastic, people loving guy has been waiting far too long for his special forever home. Don't miss your chance to have this special cat enrich and add warmth and love to your life!

You can make a secure donation through Canada Helps or by cheque to "Animal Rescue Network". Your cash contributions are tax deductible! Income tax receipts will be issued for donations of 10$ or more. Please include your complete contact information so that we know where to send the receipt(s).
If you don't want to donate cash but would like to help out nonetheless, check out our cats' wish list here.
  • Our Adoption Process...

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
