Oh my goodness could anything be as tiny and cute as little Olive?  Appropriately named after the location she was rescued from.  Olive kind of rescued herself with her tiny cries that were heard by a family riding bike.  Up a small tree they found the source of the tiny mews and the youngest child shimmied up the tree to fetch the small kitten down.  Scared, hungry and thirsty little Olive came to the shelter and quickly stole the hearts of the volunteers.  She can usually be found scurrying around the shelter as she is quite the little escape artist and loves to run around making friends with the adult cats and seeing if any of them will let her cuddle up next to them for a nap. Tiny little Olive has adorable big ears and a huge personality.  For a chance to bring her home and enjoy her kitten antics please fill out an adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org and as always our cat adoption fees are free will to approved applicants.

About Emmet County Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

Our Adoption Process...

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. If not then two personal references are required. Our adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$300. Our adoption fee for cats is free will donation. After an adoption has been approved an adoption contract must be signed.
