Ava's Story...
Ava is sweetheart! She has dreamy eyes with a touch of shyness, but warm and easy to fall in love with. Ava just wants to be pampered and treated like the little fur baby she is. Ava is around 47 pounds, 10-12 months old, and not sure if she was going to be chocolate in color or black, so she is both with a small patch of white on her chest and just a little around her snout. She is absolutely stunning in person! She is good with people and other dogs, good with children and likes all people. She has learned a few basic cues, but will need additional training. She has a great disposition and temperament and does well in a crowd. She rides well in a car and good on a leash. She will be a great addition to any family. If you are interested in adopting Ava please go to our website and complete the pre-adoption application. http://www.southernskiesrescue.org/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ava, a Huntsville Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
