We know Charlie Brown’s Snoopy is a beagle but our Snoopy is a Basset Hound!
And he is just as fun, curious, spirited and mischievous as his namesake. This 7 year old boy 56 pound boy loves to burrow under blankets, play with toys, and get in your lap. He is housebroken and uses a doggie door.
He is well mannered and loves walking on his leash. Snoopy is a counter surfer if left unsupervised. He does have some food aggression and is best fed alone or separated. Don’t try and take it away until he walks away from his bowl.
He will appear to want to play with you and his toys but if you grab the toy from him he will bite, not a vicious bite but a bite none the less. His foster parents are working with him but given this it is best he is not with young children who may misinterpret his play.
If you think you have what it takes to handle this high spirited guy, fill out one of Suncoast Basset Rescue's applications HERE (or visit the link below) to schedule your meet & greet.
