WHY IS THIS DOG IN NEED??- Bugsy was found at large
We got him from the Durham pound
Bugsy is believed to be 2 yr old and a french bulldog/boston terrier


WHERE IS THIS DOG NOW ?- He is fostered by Lucknow with various dogs, fenced yard and adults

**** REQUIREMENTS FOR BUGSY ***
-WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DIRECT HANDS ON FRENCH BULLDOG EXPERIENCED HOME ONLY- due to the risks the breed faces ***
-WE WANT TO ENSURE HE IS NOT HARMED BY A LARGER DOG AT HOME, OR A DOG PARK - SO WE ASK FOR A SIMILIAR SIZE DOG IN THE HOME AND NO INTENT TO GO TO DOG PARKS DUE TO THE RISKS THIS POSES TO THIS BREED FOR BACK/ SPINE ISSUES AND BREATHING ISSUES IF OVER HEATED.
-NO TODDLERS, Children over the age of 10 preferred
-WE WANT TO ENSURE HE DOES NOT END UP WITH BREATHING ISSUES DUE TO BEING IN HOT ENVIRONMENTS OR OVERSTIMULATED SITUATIONS FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME - A/C IS PREFFERED IN THE HOME AND NO INTENTION TO TAKE HIM ON HIKES OR ALLOW HIM UNLTD ACCESS TO THE OUTDOORS
-NO POOLS PLEASE
-MUST HAVE FENCED YARD


**ALL ABOUT BUGSY **
Due to his breed specific breathing impairments he cannot be rigoursly exercised, or allowed to overheat or overexcite
He cannot be allowed near a pool as he will sink

He should not play with large breed dogs that may be too rough or step on his back. This includes going to dog parks

He is excellent with other dogs
He loves everyone he meets

Bugsy is cratetrained, and excellent in the vehicle

We have had him neutered, rabies vaccine, and microchip

Due to the breeds sensitivities we are not doing traditional vaccinations at the same time

Bugsy would suit a home with children old enough to know that he cannot be picked up, dogs near his size, and owners that understand the complications that the breed can encounter due to their genetics

The adoption fee does NOT cover the cost of vetting or supplies for these animals - If you cannot afford the adoption fee
(that is a fraction of actual REDUCED VETTING expenses incurred) then you should reconsider adopting.
These animals deserve forever homes, good food, regular vet care, and emergency care as needed.
Pets should never be euthanized by their owners simply based on financial consideration when something goes wrong.

It can be completed, saved and emailed back to the rescue at
petrescue@hurontel.on.ca .

1. We require a fully filled app to be considered as a possible home
2. Only the approved app will be premitted a viewing with the pet ** in the foster home **
3. ALL family members MUST meet the dog ** in the foser home** .
4. Any exsisting pets MUST attend the meet/ greet with the dog ** at the foster home ** .
5. A home visit must be completed as part of the adoption process after the inital viewing by a rescue representative.
This is not a replacement of the meet/ greet at the Foster home.
6. We do not adopt outside of ONTARIO .
7. We do not deliver dogs. If and once the adoption process is approved and complete the dog must be picked up at the
foster home
