Mack's Story...

Mac will only be adopted as a family house pet. He is a super sweet dog and makes a super companion, just need to ensure he gets used to the housebreaking thing. He and Gabi lived on a farm and just stayed by the house until they took too much interest in the chickens and then kept getting in the chicken pen. Then they moved to another farm without chickens. They have no interest in staying in the pasture with cattle or sheep and, as most dogs, are scared of storms. Gabi must have spent too much time in storms because she is extremely scared of thunder, lighting, gun shots, or other loud booms. Gabi will go for super, duper, extra long walks with or with out Mack, maybe in an attempt to find her original home. Mack usually stays home unless his human leaves and he will also follow Gabi away. Gabi will go over a 6-foot chainlink kennel, not sure about a privacy fence. He will tie out on a strong cable for times when you're in the yard or to be able to get some outdoor time, but it must be away from anything they can climb over. She is doing pretty good on leash using a Gentle Leader head leash. She is too strong for just a collar or regular harness. But she does need exercise and even seems as if she will be good for joggers, just not in a storm or you may lose her. Mack does well on a regular lead, but always recommend an Easy Walk type harness.

Adoption donation of $125 or $200 for the pair includes spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, heartworm test, and vaccinations. Contact this animals foster home at or text or leave a message at 573-512-2102.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mack, a Crocker Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees for sale in Crocker, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Crocker.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Crocker already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Crocker breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Crocker paves the way for another one to be saved.
