Hi, my name is Jackson; some folks call me Action Jackson. I'm about 5 years old and weigh a svelte 50 lbs.  I've also been called a mountain mutt since I was found on a country road out in Sylva with my three other brothers (I was the runt).  I heard two-legged folks toss around that I may be part hound, beagle, boxer and even rhodesian ridgeback (minus the fancy ridge).

I have been going hiking with the Outward Hounds hiking club regularly and am doing great!  I love water. I get really excited around creeks or rivers and start doing "zoomies" round and round. I like playful dogs, so if you have one we can do a meet and greet at Brother Wolf to make sure we are a good match.   I don't like to share my toys or food with other dogs so we would need supervision if you already have another pup.

I just love people's love and company!  Come visit me in the adoption center today!

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
