Walter is a 6-year old Terrier mix looking for a special home in the Seattle area. Walter has shyness and fear with new creatures and situations, but with a patient and understanding person to show him the ropes and support him in his progress, Walter has shown an immense capacity for loyalty and love. Due to his need for behavioral rehabilitation, Walter would thrive best as the only dog in a house (no apartments or condos) without children. Walter has had surgery for IVDD, and while he can stand on all four legs, he is limited in mobility and has partial control of his bladder and bowels. A good way to win Walter’s heart is through treats, which he loves – almost as much as he enjoys walks, where Walter becomes a confident, friendly boy to people passing by! After medical complications and heartbreak after losing his previous home, we hope to find Walter the experienced, patient, understanding, supportive person who will help him to grow his confidence and provide him the love he deserves.
Walter is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. For more information or to meet Walter, please call Emerald City Pet Rescue at 206-557-4661!
