Hi, my name is Jake. I was saved from death row at a local shelter by my foster mom. I am a handsome red 4 year old shepherd / golden retriever / rottie mix. I am a big love bug as I just love snuggling with you. I especially like belly rubs.
I am neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped and potty trained! My mom has me on the monthly heartworm/flea prevention medicine. I know how to sit and lay down. I stay pretty good and am learning how to sit up. I love to go on walks but still need a little leash work.
Oh, I love to go for rides too!. I like to play ball. My foster mommy said I am full of life and sometimes a silly, goofy kind of guy. I am a strong guy weighing in around 70 lbs. PS--I don't seem to like cats as I had rather chase them like squirrels. Thanks again!
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Jake is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
