India's Story...
DSH

India is approximately two years old. She originally came from animal control with a litter of kittens who have long since gone to their forever homes. India has been patiently waiting for her chance for a family to call her own. India has been an extremely easy guest for her foster family; she is quiet, gentle, and consistently uses her litter box. She has come a long way since she first arrived. She still prefers not to be picked up, but will jump on your lap for attention and really likes to "help" with office work. She enjoys being petted and now that her motherhood days are behind her, she loves playing with toys. We often find them in her food or water bowls. India has also learned that dogs aren't so scary and she doesn't mind their company as long as they don't chase her. India is fully vetted and will make someone a wonderful pet. If it could be you, please let us know!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

India, a Franklin Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Franklin, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Franklin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
