Poppy's Story...
Hi, my name is POPPY, and I am a 5-year old spayed female gray tabby. I was living with a man who I thought was my best friend. He wasn't. He started punching and kicking me and throwing me on the floor. It really hurt. I loved him, and I don't know what I did to make him mad. Some very nice people saw what he was doing and stopped him, and took me to a vet clinic. I had some bruising, but was otherwise okay. I love everyone, that is why I don't know why he was so mean to me.

I love cuddling in a soft bed (there are a couple of pictures of me stretching after my nap), getting pets and treats, and just being loved. Are you ready to love and take care of me? Will you keep me safe and never mistreat me? If you answered yes, I am ready to be your best cuddle buddy.

I am spayed, current on my vaccinations, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $35. If you are interested in adopting me, contact BDW for an application. A $17.50 deposit will hold me until a home check can be done. The remaining $17.50 will be due before taking me home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppy, a Ogden Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ogden, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ogden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ogden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ogden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ogden paves the way for another one to be saved.
