Don’t let the loss of his chest feathers detour you from adopting this special young boy. Yes, it’s true, Mr. Ko Jo is just a young 12 years old. He is a true misunderstood gentle Giant! Ko Jo’ has a great appetite and loves being in the room were all the action is. He is well mannered, and very quiet.

Ko Jo’ is seeking a home that offers a calm environment, with an opportunity to interact with his new owner several times a day. He, dose say a few words, with the ability to learn more easily. He really is a bright young and calm boy.

Ko Jo would be most comfortable with a new owner/handler, who can trust him to be out of his cage most of his new life. Ko jo loves to dance to music, and watch TV.

Ko Jo behaves, and is most comfortable when he on top of his cage or on a perch, and loves being trusted to sleep outside upon his new ( 40” wide) cage every night.

If you’re interested in adopting Ko Jo’, and can offer him an interactive inspiring lifestyle. Please understand that his freedom out of his cage is most likely the most important for his physical and mental health. Then please apply to adopt Ko Jo’, with his very large cage, with play top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ko Jo’ Greenwing Macaw, a Vancouver Macaw was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Macaw for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Macaw from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Macaw breeders who help with Macaw rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
