Meet Ellie!

Ellie is a beautiful 7 month old kitten with a shiny tuxedo coat and a manx style (stub) tail.  She wiggles her little tail when she is happy, playing or just wants to look cute.
She is a very active kitten - playful, curious, and very outgoing.
She will play with her toys by herslf but prefers her humans to join in
She is fostered with other cats and a large dog.
Ellie would like to eat everything but should have a restricted menu.  She has food allergies, but she has no issues when she is limited to her raw food diet.
Her foster can tell you all about it.  You can purchase it online or if you are handy it can be made at home. It cost a little more (estimate $37.50/month) But Ellie is worth it.  You just have to meet her.

About Wave Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Wave Animal Rescue was created in September 2014. We are a small but growing home based foster group of dedicated volunteers.

All Wave animals are spayed or neutered and up to date on tests and vaccinations prior to adoption. Aside from these usual veterinary costs, we also incur vet bills for special needs animals such as Frosty, the little kitten who came to us blind, pregnant moms such as Lady Jane and their litters and other needs that occur.

We are always looking to add to our volunteers, whether it be new fosters, volunteers to help with adoption events, fundraising and administrative help. Donations of crates, blankets, cat food (canned and dry), cat toys, cat litter or cash are always greatly appreciated. If you would like your donation to go towards the care/vet bill of a specific cat, we will make that happen.

We love for people to come and meet our wonderful cats and kittens at our events. We do several local events at pet stores and other locations throughout Northern Illinois. We also do the Chicago Pet Show three times a year. Please check our website, www.waveanimalrescue.org for updates on where we will be next. Also, we would love for you to like our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/WaveAnimalRescue. We will posting updates there as well.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process starts with our adoption application which can be filled out here: http://www.waveanimalrescue.org/adopt.html.

Once the potential adopter's application is received and approved, it will be forwarded to the foster parent of the cat/kitten that the adopter is inquiring about. The adopter will be contacted within three business days regarding the status of their application and/or to set up a meet and greet.

If the meet and greet goes well and the adoption is approved the adopter will need to agree to and sign our adoption contract, sign a disclosure form, and pay our $125.00 adoption fee. The adopter will also receive a copy of the vet records of the adopted cat.
