I’m Shady and I love people. Short, Tall, I love them all! I will give you kisses until you tell me to stop. I might even lay down right next to you! I just want to show you how much I adore you. I am searching for a family that will love me unconditionally and provide me with a place to call home. I do well both inside and outside. I am well behaved inside, I am a lady after all. When it is nice out I can lay back and sun myself for a few hours and be totally happy. I also love walking. I walk nicely on a leash so our walks will be relaxing and peaceful. I am the ideal dog to come home to after a long day- I’ll shower you with kisses, take you on a nice relaxing walk, and keep you company all night. I just want to surround someone with boxer love.

I may be seven years old, but I still have a lot of spunk in my step. I love to play and can run around and chase you for quite some time. I can keep myself occupied with toys, so let’s plan to have some of those around the house. Toys are great for keeping me busy and entertained. On a hot, sunny day I like to romp around in a kiddie pool or play with the hose. It cools me down and boy, it is a blast! Have you ever seen a boxer play in the water? It’ll bring an instant smile to your face! Do you want to take me somewhere with you? Great! I ride nicely in the car. I also know some basic obedience skills. And I am certain you can teach old dogs new tricks, especially me!

Although I love people, I forget how big I am sometimes. For that reason I would do best in a home without small children. As for crate training I'll resist before I go into the crate, but once in there, I accept defeat and behave myself. I don’t need to sleep in the crate at night, but do keep your ears peeled if I start rustling- I may need to go out. I am house trained for the most part, but I forget to tell you I need to go sometimes. As long as you let me out every 4-ish hours we will be great together. A home that provides me with schedule and structure will be the most successful relationship for me.
I'm ready to find that family I can count on to help me excel and that I can depend on to keep me for the rest of my life. If you are going to be that exceptional family, go to http://www.nwboxerrescue.org/#!adoption-form/c1dw9 and get the ball rolling!

About Northwest Boxer Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Northwest Boxer Rescue (NWBR) believes that every boxer deserves a chance to live a happy life in a loving home. Abandoned or homeless Boxers will always find shelter, medical care, and ultimately a new home through the efforts of NWBR. By working with committed volunteers and local veterinarians we are able to rescue boxers every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them perfect loving forever homes. Working in conjunction with city and county groups, NWBR strives to educate the public and help end animal overpopulation and needless suffering. The commitment to share the love of Boxers is never ending.

We never discriminate on the basis of health or age. Our animals are evaluated, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any necessary medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.
