Danielle's Info...

I am good with kids and good with small animals.

Danielle's Story...
Danielle is a 3-6 month old Crested American short haired guinea pig. Danielle gets along well with other female guinea pigs. The previous owner purchased her from a local pet store. A child in the home developed allergies to the guinea pig and had to surrender her.
Danielle does run from being picked up. Once she is in your arms, she is fine tho. She had her nails trimmed without any problems. She is a sweetheart. She is a bit more shy however does not seem to mind being handled once she is caught. She is content with sitting on your lap too. She loves romaine, green leaf lettuce, apples, parsley, oranges, cucumbers, dandelions greens, green peppers and a small amount of bananas.

The rescue can provide a cage, (29"L 17"W 16H) a hut, water bottle and food dish with her adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Danielle, a Harleysville Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Harleysville, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Harleysville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harleysville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harleysville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harleysville paves the way for another one to be saved.
