I'm thankful

Hey y'all, Merci here! I'm the kind of girl you can bring home to momma, so if you're looking for a quality partner, look no further. I'm as loyal as can be and will stand by you through it all. I've been through a lot myself, so I have learned to appreciate loyalty. I had a home once, but my family didn't want to take care of me anymore, so I ended up at Broward County Animal Control. A group rescued me from there, which I thought was my ticket home, but when they found out I had a bit of a heart murmur that requires a daily medication and annual cardiologist visits, they returned me because apparently that made me imperfect. Back at Broward County Animal Control again, I didn't even have a name, only a number. I knew they couldn't keep me, and I heard the people saying, 'All the Beagle rescues are full.' I didn't think I would make it out alive. I'm so grateful to Paws 4 You for saving me, even though I'm not from Dade County, and I'm not perfect. When I got here, the very first thing they did was name me Merci, which means 'thank you' in French. I like to show them how much I appreciate everything with kisses and tail wags. But you know, I'd be even more thankful if I could find a loyal family. I really want to enjoy the life that Paws 4 You tells me I deserve. Maybe that could be with you? We could go for walks, cuddle, play, and have snacks together. I love snacks. You know what I love more than snacks though? FRIENDS. So get your silly butt down here, and let's start a friendship. I'm a good girl, always on my best behavior, and most importantly, I will never let you forget how much I love you. Come meet me!

About Paws 4 You Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Paws 4 You Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer 501(c)3 animal rescue organization based in Miami, Florida. Our top priority is to save animals from euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services. An average of one hundred animals are destroyed every day at this county shelter! Rescued animals vary from being sick, injured, homeless and surrendered to simply lost. We give these animals a safe environment, professional medical care, hope and lots of love. Our animals are sterilized, vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. Some require major surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care - ranging from bordetella (kennel cough) and skin infections to cherry eye and heartworm treatments. Once Paws 4 You Rescue commits to helping an animal, we seek the best quality treatment available - taking no shortcuts. Our dogs stay at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities and foster homes until they find their forever families.

Our Adoption Process...

There is an adoption application used as a pre-screening tool (available on, references are required and house visits are made by volunteers. We request a donation with every adoption which includes sterilization, microchip & registration, current vaccinations and a heartworm/ehrlichia test. The adoption donation covers the boarding and medical expenses incurred on all rescues, not just one.
