Raylan is a great dog with so much personality. This explains why he is still with his foster 7 months after they took him in… “for the night”... and ”until we find his owner”. Unfortunately, our female dogs don’t feel the same way about him. They are very aggressive toward him and we have to keep them separated. This leads to periods of isolation and a lot of tension/anxiety.
Raylan loves any attention you will give him and really just wants to be with someone. He likes to go on walks and play with toys or just lay down next to you. He is good with some dogs and all of our nieces and nephews. It doesn't seem fair for this sweet, happy, and funny dog with so much to offer to not be able to relax and be “at home” in his own home. Maybe he could relax at his new home in your house?
If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Raylan is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.
