Delilah's Story...
Delilah and her siblings were born on the cold concrete floor of our local kill shelter. Her mom had 6 beautiful puppies but only 4 survived. We pulled Tessa, the mom, and all of her puppies the day they were born. A shelter is no place for newborns! Well 8 days later Tessa had signs of an obstruction and went in for surgery so we had to take over bottle feeding. Delilah and her siblings are the sweetest puppies ever because they were handled so much. Delilah is the last of her litter still looking for her forever home.

Her DOB is 4/23/16 and we think she is a Border Collie / Lab mix. She is one of the sweetest puppies because she has been handled so much and she absolutely loves everyone and everything she meets. She has been around other dogs, cats and my mini pig and just wants to play. She already picks up sticks and plays with them but hasn’t learned to bring them back yet. She has the cutest facial expressions and still has a little loose skin she is growing in to that just adds to her cuteness. She does seem to have some environmental allergies but we have not had allergy testing done. We have her on over the counter allergy medicine which is $5 for a bottle of 100 so this is very inexpensive. And it very well could be allergies local to Texas. This girl is very special to her foster mom because she was treated like a newborn baby and survived all odds of making it out of a shelter at a day old and being bottle fed for weeks. She deserves the very best home!

**Delilah is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and doing very well in her foster home. She is ready to find her family to complete her transformation. If our sweet girl sounds like a perfect match for your family, please email us at pawhuggers@gmail.com for more information.**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Delilah, a Tomball Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Tomball, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Tomball.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tomball already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tomball breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tomball paves the way for another one to be saved.
